Neither are Baylor, Colorado, or Iowa St.
My hats are off to Texas. They were the better team tonight. I just dont think they are all that good.

The proof is in the pudding. Hook em Horns!
I'm not saying that they are, like I said, I don't like Texas, but saying that Texas hasn't faced anybody with a defense while USC has it a bit off. If you wanted to say neither had, that would be one thing but at least you can pick one that Texas faced, who did USC face that had one?
Your actually right though Burton. Texas isnt a great football team, though Vince Young is a great football player that just put on one of the most astounding performances in the history of sports IMO. He carried them to a championship, without him they are a average team at best.
Texas has a better team than you think, three first round picks this year-Huff, Wright, and Scott; and Sweed and Charles and Young, will all go high when they go pro.
Dont get me wrong, they have a ton of talent. Though its Young that brings it all together for them on offense. He carries them, they wouldnt have been playing for the national title without him.
Shut up.
LMAO!!!! This killed ESPN.
Fowler talking about the chip on Texas' shoulder "I don't think it was disrespect for Texas-more like respect for USC" John Saunders looked like he wanted to cry or vomit when he had to interview Mack (either that or that Tex-Mex food that ol' Mack likes was gettin' the better of him)
So here comes the excuses. Let's bury them because if USC had been that God-like team that the media shoved down our throats all year long, they'd have won 55-7 right? I said all along that USC's defense sucked. To say that they are the greatest team of all time disrespects ARMY's juggernaut that won titles leading the nation in OFFENSE and DEFENSE. Remember when I said to everybody (as much as it hurt) after the officials screwed Miami against OSU that if you let an official determine your fate, you weren't playing up to par anyway (Miami certanly wasn't that night). Bad calls sting less when you are up 38-0.
great game, Vince Young is an exceptional player, rushing the ball for over 200, and passing for over 250. This was a well played game by both teams. It will be fun to watch these players as they further thier careers.
Texas had two 4th and 1 stops on defense, against the number one rated offense in the nation, and one of the best of all times. To me that is a heckuva defense no matter how you can put a spin on it. To stop Lendale White twice when the kid is averaging 6 yards a carry for the year is no easy task.
